Beautiful Kara

My dear friend Kara came over this evening and allowed me to practice my make-up (bridal) application on her. Below are her pics! She looks gorgeous!! She always looks gorgeous but I just glammed her up a bit from her normal natural look. I am so thankful for her and her friendship! Thanks Kara! You're a ROCK STAR! :o)

Make-Up for Fun!

Hi everyone! :o)

Okay, Matt and I puppysat my parent's puppies this last weekend. He worked on Saturday and accidentally took my car keys with him. Sooo.....I was "kooped" up at my parents' house all day long! Which was fine because it was so hot that day. But if I was stuck at my house I could have at least gotten some chores done. So I took a nap, watched a movie, cuddled with the pups and played around with my make-up. I wanted to copy a look from a Maybelline make-up ad for their new line of pink lipsticks. I did copy it but with my own twist. I wanted my man to take pics and the model in him came out....so please excuse my cheesy modelling. I'm not a model but it was fun. The lighting didn't really capture all of the colors on my eyes but it was still fun! Afterwards, my hubs took me out to eat sushi! I was so excited to get out of the house and go on a fantabulous date with him. <3

~Enjoy!~

Pastor James & Jennylyn's Wedding Rehearsal

Matt and I were graciously invited to our dear friends, Pastor James’ and Jennylyn’s wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner last Thursday night, August 13th. The pictures below were taken by my handsome hubby before we headed over to our church. This look was just a simple dolled-up look using mineral eye shadow with lots of sparkle pigmentation. I also outlined my eye using a small black line with eyeliner, making it thicker out to the corner of my eye and then dark gray eye shadow to make the line thicker and more “poppy”. I did a little contouring of my cheeks using two different colored blushes. I have on clear lip gloss for these pictures but I actually finished my lips by putting on colored lip gloss and highlighters in the car. I love having my foundation be as natural looking as possible.

Welcome!

This is the very beginning of my fun adventures of becoming a make-up artist! My heart's passion is to make people feel good about themselves. I want them to know and feel that they are beautiful the way that God has created them. I love to paint make-up in such a way that it brings out their best inner qualities. I want to help their special selves to shine through with the make-up that I use! I want to make people feel and look radiantly glamorous! The eyes are definitely the window to a person's soul and it's my goal to make those babies pop! :o)

I'm just now starting out in this industry but it has been a love affair since my very first experience with Bonne Bell lip glosses when I was a little girl. My favorite was the cotton candy one. My goal is to start doing this just part time while I am working for my dad's design/build firm. I am looking to start doing make-up for weddings, photo shoots, special events: prom, senior pictures, etc. I'm just now starting to study and learn the business end of being a make-up artist. I'm a little intimidated by it all but I am so excited for the possibilities! I'm working on building up my make-up collection even more. Woo hoo!!! I love make-up. :o) I'm having an absolute blast and there are so many butterflies soaring with excitedment in my heart to do this!

My prayer is that God will bless this and guide me through this as I embark on this new endeavor. This definitely is a desire that He has placed on my heart to begin. ♥ And hopefully I will be able to move more towards being a make-up artist and be able to focus more on my home front and hubby.

So welcome to my passion that I am beginning to share with others and my journey in it!
